The Dog Town Half Marathon and K9-9K, are individual and separate running races. The canine theme, awards, distances, and activities help to create a fun and creative atmosphere never before seen in Southern Utah. The half-marathon (13.1 miles) begins at Zion Harley Davidson in Coral Canyon, continues through beautiful Coral Canyon, down the paved trail of Hell's Canyon along the Virgin River, ending at Treasure Valley Park in Washington Fields. The 9K event (5.76 mile) will be on the same course as the half-marathon. Dogs are NOT allowed on either course.
Run With Your Best Friend:
In conjunction with the, Dogtown Half Marathon & K9-9K, Washington City is promoting a 1K Run w/ your dog & Dog Contest Friday, Feb 25th: 5-9pm.
The $10 entrance fee will go to support the Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) and will help to purchase a canine (police dog) for our very own Washington City Public Safety Department. Prizes will be awarded.
Runners along with the community are invited to attend the Dogtown Expo held on Friday, Feb 25th from 5-9pm. Participants will pick up their race packets and participate in a fun-filled evening with vendor booths, live entertainment, food, and swimming all held at the Washington City Community Center.
